Tip 7 ~ Find some type of exercise that you like and enjoy. Exercise does not have to be a chore. During Exercise we release endorphins; the body’s natural anti-depressant -> it will make you feel great -> it is essential. Take the time to establish exercise goals. Try something new if you are bored with your current exercise program. Go for a hike, try jumping rope, bowling, Zumba or a new yoga class. Try canoeing or rock climbing, throw a Frisbee, go for a walk with a friend or add an extra hour of gardening. Exercise as a family, crank up the music and dance, take a lesson or class together, or train for an event as a family. There are so many options, and I know time is always short, but your body needs it, and you will feel so much better after it.
Tip 6 ~ Eat Fats…Yes, Eat Fats, but …… the “good fats.” Good fats improve cholesterol levels and may reduce the risk factors of heart disease and stroke. They also may reduce the risk of diabetes, will promote healthy nerve activity, have shown to improve vitamin absorption, and promote cell development. Nuts, seeds, avocados, olive oil, flaxseed oil, coconut oil and many others are on the good fats list.
